Black Future Month: Cannabis For Wellness - Using Edibles For Meditation

We consulted with our health and wellness expert who has lead meditations at live music events Jam Cruise, Desert Hearts, & Suwannee Hulaween and pioneer of her own cannabis wellness events to give us some tips on how we can use Fruit Slabs to meditate. She just happens to be our first black female team member, Chief of Marketing, and part owner in our company. Helping us celebrate Black History Month aka Black Future Month, Maggie Wilson invites you to see if you can incorporate one of her favorite meditations from Dr. Joe Dispenza into your night routine with Fruit Slabs.

The meaning of the word “meditation” originally means to “become familiar with” so the act of meditating is the act of getting to know you.
— M.

M: “I’ve been using Fruit Slabs to meditate since 2018 and have found many ways to enjoy them in various forms of my meditation practice. Meditating is different for everyone and you may not be able to sit find what works and is familiar to you. Meditating is not “supposed” to look a certain way. Always listen to your body and know that you can be walking, sitting in silence, riding your back, or even washing the dishes and that is all a form of meditating.

When you plan to do this specific meditation is meant to rewire your brain in the way that you begin defining yourself with a vision of the future instead of the memories of the past. Everyone will have different results but this meditation may help you lower stress levels, increase memory and concentration, and building a healthy immune system. “

Dr. Joe Dispenza, D.C., studied biochemistry at Rutgers University and also holds a B.S. degree with an emphasis in Neuroscience. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Life University in Atlanta, Georgia, graduating magna cum laude. His postgraduate education has been in neurology, neuroscience, brain function and chemistry, cellular biology, memory formation, and aging and longevity.

Begin in the most comfortable position for you. Pair this meditation with a Grape Fruit Slab and relax into a meditation led by a neuroscientist!
