Fruit Slabs is Amplifying Black Creatives, Artists, and Musicians - All February Long - Black History Appreciation

Fruit Slabs X Black History Month

Here at Fruit Slabs HQ, our team is small but mighty. 2020 taught us a lot and our vision for the company became much more clear, we made some changes and things really started taking off! Now, Fruit Slabs is over half minority-led and owned, including having the industries leading black female Cannabis Sommelier and wellness practitioner. We understand the importance of doing more than recycling a Juneteenth template, or resharing a meme when it comes to shining a light on the Melanin rich beings of the world. We won’t stop being loud and proud of our black friends, partners, communities, and advocates.

This month, and for the remainder of 2021 into infinite space- time, we will be highlighting and amplifying the voices of our black community more than ever. As the black woman writing this, I can honestly say, I am proud to be leading Fruit Slabs in a more inclusive and diverse direction.

All month long we are going to be bringing you artists, creatives, and musicians that you can support in different ways. Today we need you to stream, download, and biggest points if you….

Today, we are introducing

THRILLERS

These Los Angeles-based funky gorgeous brother and soulful beings create music which makes it impossible to not get up and dance. Their lyrics are magic and lead you to think after the song is off and their harmonies are still ringing in your ears for days. (“Ooooohoooooo, can’t get enough, can’t get enough, of what I want.”) Seriously, stop reading and jump over to Spotify or Soundcloud to hear this music. My favorite album was BREAK FREE from 2017 until they released their latest album “Hug Your Brother” in April 2020 with tracks like Rich Negus, Forbidden Fruit, and Milk + Honey.

We absolutely love THRILLERS and you should as well. Not only do they have the voices of angels but their fashion sense and LIFE lessons they share on social media really give you a peek into their personalities. They never have a shortage of FRUIT being showcased and if you’re lucky you may catch a workout you can push yourself with!

Overall, we truly love and appreciate the light that is THRILLERS. We hope you stream their albums and continue to find artists who inspire you every day just by being their natural black self.

NYFW

Streaming, following, reposting, and sharing music during Black History Month is a great way to help black creatives get their dreams fulfilled. Turn up the volume and do a dance around your living room or office to showcase how much you are ready for 2021 and your best life.

Take this sound bit from THRILLERS about the latest album and join us all month/year as we continue to feature the embodiment of the black experience in the world.

“This album is the sonic embodiment of our lives. It’s the essence of the black experience in America. Hug Your Brother was inspired by humble beginnings - to our journeys becoming men. This album is dedicated to triumph and self-awareness. With HYB we wanted to provide the soundtrack to black love and unity in a time when it’s most needed. Our message is: take care of each other, forgive, be grateful, and ambitious.
